The ministry says it will launch policies to give priority to those whose livelihoods were affected by the quake, and boost employment by enhancing coordination among government departments, providing more work in reconstruction, and developing training programs.

Figures from the ministry show that the overall employment situation in the quake zone remains stable. As of December the 31st, about 53-thousand people had been transferred from the quake zone to work in other regions. And about 116-thousand people had been employed locally.
