China, EU vow to deepen cooperation

Special Report: Premier Wen visits EuropePremier Wen Jiabao has arrived in the Spanish capital, Madrid, the fourth leg of his European tour. Before heading to Spain, Premier Wen stopped in Brussels, where he met European Union officials, vowing to deepen their cooperation in various fields.

The global financial crisis and climate change also topped the agenda of their meetings.
This is Premier Wen Jiabao's second visit to the EU headquarters in five years, aiming to forge closer ties with the bloc.
Premier Wen Jiabao held talks with President of European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and several other EU leaders.
During the meeting, the two sides announced that a postponed China-EU summit will be held as soon as possible.
They also signed nine agreements, covering health, customs, education, intellectual property rights, environment and civil aviation.
