Over 50 million passengers have already traveled by rail, but the pressure is still on. |
The cold weather can't prevent passengers from returning home.
Though train tickets are hard to come by, many hopeful travellers are still waiting in line.
Yao Hongren, vice secretary of CPC Committee of Beijing Weat Station, said, "Every day passengers will return some tickets. Between 6-to-8000 have been returned and they will be resold. Those people who have no tickets still have a chance to return home."
As part of managing the busiest travel day prior to the Lunar New Year, emergency health clinics have been set up at the station and more trains are running.
