China to stage military parade celebrating PRC founding anniversary

BEIJING, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- China will hold a dress parade in the Tian'anmen Square on Oct. 1 for the celebration of the 60th founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC), a senior military officer said on Tuesday.

The "warm, but frugal and cost-effective" parade will showcase China's home-grown on-duty weapon systems of all services from the armed forces, Colonel Cai Huailie said at a press conference.
