UN: Cholera epidemic in Zimbabwe still not under control

The UN says Zimbabwe's cholera epidemic is still not under control with deaths growing on a daily basis.

UNICEF Executive Director Ann Veneman says, in some areas, the total number of cases is beginning to drop. But she says it doesn't mean that the epidemic is under control.

Veneman says the UN will give five million dollars to help pay Zimbabwean health worker salaries. The latest figures show the death toll rising to 2,225 and with more than 42,000 cases.
