Security is tight at the heart of Washington D.C. where the swearing-in will take place for the first ever African-American president.

Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security says the number of visitors will be two to three times the population of Washington.

Officials are warning everyone to take precautions of unusual situations surrounding the venue and to be prepared for unavoidable inconveniences due to massive crowds.
