Israel sends reserve units to Gaza

Major Avital Leibovich, Israeli army spokesperson, said, "The reservists inside the Gaza Strip are fully participating in the operation. There is no intensifying or another phase of the operation, we are still aiming at the same goal to try and decrease Hamas' motivation to try and minimize those launching capabilities all for one reason - to bring a stable, secure and safe situation to the people in Israel."

Despite world-wide condemnation, Israel is still persistent in carrying out its military operations in Gaza.  Visiting the southern Israeli town of Sderot on Monday, Israeli Foreign Minister, Tzipi Livni said the country is determined to achieve its goal.

Tzipi Livni, Israeli foreign minister, said, "We don't ask the international community to share this war with us, but we ask them to give us time to continue this work."

In an e-mail message early Monday, Hamas leader Ismail Radwan said his group would not consider a cease-fire before Israel stops its attacks and pulls back from Gaza.
