Chinese envoy meets Indian FM

He Yafei is also the Chinese envoy on South Asian affairs. He Yafei said as a close neighbor, China is concerned about the development of the situation. He noted that both India and Pakistan are China's friendly neighbors, and China hopes to see peace and stability in the region. He stressed that China hopes the two countries can address their disputes through dialogue and consultation. Especially to maintain regional peace and development, and contribute to the international fight against terrorism.

Meanwhile, the two Indian officials said India does not want to escalate tensions in the region. They also said that India is willing to cooperate with the international community to tackle terrorists, and maintain regional peace and stability. The two sides also exchanged views on how to deepen the strategic partnership between China and India.
