The Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance have issued 2.5 billion yuan of subsides for victims of last year's Sichuan earthquake.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance  have issued 2.5 billion yuan of subsides for victims of  last year's Sichuan earthquake.

Over 3 million people have benefited from the offer. The subsides are mainly for family members of the dead or the lost, and those who are in poor living conditions. Every beneficiary gets 200 yuan per month. The subsides are continuing, with another 1.5 billion yuan having just been dispatched to the quake-hit areas.
