Bogota became the latest capital where members of the Palestinian diaspora and their supporters rallied to denounce the Israeli bombardment of Gaza.

Ali Nofal, Protester of Palestinian Origin, said, "The end is in the hands of Israel because we, the Palestinian people, have nothing to say to this policy of aggression. The entire world and the UN Security Council have the way to end this, the Western world has the way to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

Demonstrators carried Palestinian flags and chanted anti-Israeli slogans. Some of them set fire to Israeli and US flags.

In the US, thousands turned out in Washington, DC, to express their outrage.

Farida Ghannam, Demonstrator, said, "It's a massacre. This is worse than the Holocaust. This is what they're doing. It's worse than the Holocaust."

The crowds gathered in front of the Israeli embassy, and then marched on to the Egyptian embassy to criticize Egypt's handling of the attacks.

And Muslims around the world took to the streets after Friday prayers to show their solidarity for the people of Gaza.

In Tehran, some six thousand people, including high-ranking officials, staged a rally on Friday afternoon.

In Jordan, police had to use tear gas to stop protestors approaching the Israeli embassy. And thousands demonstrators turned up at Amman Stadium, calling for the abolition of the Jordanian-Israeli peace treaty signed in 1994.

In Lebanon, hundreds gathered in Beirut outside the Egyptian Embassy to vent their anger at Egypt's closing of the crossing at Rafah bordering Gaza last Saturday.

In Turkey's biggest city, Istanbul, thousands of protesters gathered outside a mosque, voicing support for their fellow Muslims in Gaza.

And in Indonesia, more than 10 thousand people took to the streets to condemn the airstrikes and appeal to the UN to issue a resolution to stop the attacks.
