Riyad Mansour, Palestinian Ovserver to UN, said, "Stopping its carnage that so far took the lives and injured more than 1,700 Palestinians--large number of them civilians, children, women and this is a crime against humanity."
Some even offered an ominous message about the future of the conflict.

It's hard to tell when Israel will stop its bombardment. The world is offering help, and moving to ensure that assistance reaches those under attack.
Ban Ki-Moon, UN Secretary General, said, "Israel must keep open all border crossings necessary for the continued provision of humanitarian supplies. Israeli government leaders have given me a guarantee that such supplies and personnel would be allowed entry into Gaza."
