Gaza and the West Bank are witnessing a three-day mourning period to grieve the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of Palestinians also took to the streets of the West Bank on Sunday to protest against the Israeli operation in Gaza.

President Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement called a commercial strike through the West Bank and urged all Palestinians to take to the streets in peaceful protests.

In Hebron, East Jerusalem, and Nablus, Palestinian protesters blocked roads and burned tyres while they clashed with Israeli soldiers.

At least one Palestinian was shot dead and several others were wounded by Israeli soldiers in Ramalla. The Muslim world has strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes.

rotesters also took to the streets in Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and other countries to show their support for the Palestinians.
