India has withdrawn cases against the 51 Pakistani nationals who've been languishing in an Indian jail for the past 7 months. The move comes amid heightened tensions between the 2 countries.

India has withdrawn cases against the 51 Pakistani nationals  who've been languishing in an Indian jail for the past 7 months.

All detainees were arrested in northwestern India while returning to Pakistan on charges of tampering with visas.

The counsel for the detainees said all had been found innocent and that the Indian federal government had directed the state government to drop the cases and release the prisoners 25 women, 22 men and 4 minors.
