Art exhibition commemorates China´s reform

BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- A calligraphy and painting exhibition was unveiled here Friday to commemorate the 30th anniversary of China's reform and opening up drive.

Jia Qinglin (C), member of the Standing Committee of the  Communist Party of China Central Committee Political Bureau  and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attends the opening  ceremony of a calligraphy and painting exhibition commemorating  the 30th anniversary of China's reform and opening up, in Beijing,  capital of China, on Dec. 19, 2008. More than 200 works were on display, all by painters and calligraphers who also act as CPPCC  members.(Xinhua/Li Tao)

Sun Jiazheng, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, said the exhibition displayed the country's achievements in arts.
