This thriving interest in sports not only resulted in healthy bodies and happy souls but also created a booming sports industry. Many large Chinese sports brands established themselves during this time, among them Lining, Anta and Shuangxing. More importantly, some survived into the next decade, and started to compete with the global giants.
The rise of domestic sports brands extended China's business influence outside the sports venues. And it gave people many more choices in entertainment, commodities and lifestyle.
