SCO strongly condemns terrorist attacks in Mumbai

BEIJING, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Mumbai of India, Bolat Nurgaliyev, secretary-general of the SCO, said in a statement Friday.

The terrorist attacks, occurring in the biggest city of India, caused heavy casualties, he said, and the organizers and perpetrators should be brought to justice.

Nurgaliyev extended deep sympathy to the victims' families and relatives, and also reiterated the SCO's support to India, which is an observer of the SCO.

The series of terrorist attacks reportedly had killed 143 people, including 14 policemen, and more than 330 were injured.
