French media focus on ASEM 7

As the current EU presidency holder, France will co-chair the Asia-Europe Meeting summit with China. Media outlets in France are covering the summit closely.

During his trip to Beijing, Sarkozy is expected to call on  Asian countries, especially China and India, to support his  measures.

The Agence France-Presse news agency says French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, hopes Asia can participate in the financial reform he has advocated. Sarkozy has called for a financial summit to be held as soon as possible, and for the global financial system to be rebuilt. His stance has earned support from major countries in the Group of Eight.

During his trip to Beijing, Sarkozy is expected to call on Asian countries, especially China and India, to support his measures. He will also express hope that China and India can participate in the re-building of the global financial system.
