22 women student pilots were also transfixed during the launch of Shenzhou 7. And Thursday's success makes them even more determined to fulfill their own dreams of going into space after first becoming fighter aircraft pilots.

Zhang Xiao, Student Pilot, said, "I watched closely their physical and psychological changes. And I can't help imagining what my own reactions would be if I were inside that cabin. What impressed me most is that they have such composure you would think this day is no different from any other working day."

Zhang Bo, Student Pilot, said, "There have been various doubts as to our ability to pilot a fighter aircraft. There is not even one female fighter aircraft pilot in China. I know we are on a daunting path. But we are ready to take on even more challenges."
