The launch center has confirmed that the Shenzhou Seven will be sent into orbit on a Long March 2F rocket.

The launch center has confirmed that the Shenzhou Seven  will be sent into orbit on a Long March 2F rocket.

The Long March 2-F was designed in the nineties. It has been used on six previous spaceflights, including two manned-flights.

Engineers say a few dozen upgrades have made it more reliable and comfortable for astronauts. After the Shenzhou Seven mission, the Long March 2-F rocket will be replaced by a new generation of safer and more environmentally-friendly rockets.
