Iran´s air force hold war games to boost readiness

Iranian state television reported on Wednesday that air defense exercises are underway in half of the country's 30 provinces.

The commander of Iran's aerial defence, Brigadier General Ahmad Mighani, says the exercises are being staged to practice tactics, use modern equipment and increase military readiness.

He says the exercises will be held in three stages to promote combat power and readiness of the air force. Mighani says this is the first time Iran's air force has held such large scale exercises, using full defensive capabilities across the country.
