Chinese swimmer Xu Qing shattered his own Men's 50m Butterfly S6 world record on Saturday, set in a preliminary round earlier in the day.

Xu clocked in 30.79, a finger-length ahead of his Japanese rival. The new world record is 1.1 seconds faster than the one he set in heats that morning.

Oyama Kyosuke took the silver with 31.01 and Kindred Sascha of Great Britain won the bronze.

Xu has already grabbed a bronze medal in the men's 200m Individual Medley SM6 competition on September 7.
