During his Sichuan trip, the Chinese Premier also presided over a meeting held by the country's quake relief headquarters.

The discussions focused on the recent 6.1-magnitude quake that jolted southwest China on Saturday. Wen urged the relevant authorities to fix and reinforce all buildings in the quake zone and ensure the supply of water and power. He also stressed that infrastructure, including roads and health centers must be in good working order.

The headquarters said government funds and nationwide donations would continue. It also noted that lots of coats and quilts would be needed in the quake zone because of the approaching winter season.

Beichuan Middle School was among the hardest-hit in the May 12th earthquake. Premier Wen Jiabao had visited students and teachers at the school -- three times -- prior to the event on Monday.
