Paralympic torch relay begins in Nanjing

The torch relay for the upcoming Beijing Paralympics is now underway in the Eastern Chinese city of Nanjing. It is the one of the stops along the "Ancient China" route.

The relay started at the square of the Dr. Sun Yat-sen mausoleum, one of Nanjing's most famous sites. A total of 60 people, including 6 disabled persons are expected to carry the torch along the three-kilometer route in the city. The whole event is scheduled to last about one hour.

Later, the Paralympic torch will enter the final leg along its "Ancient China" route -- in Luo Yang city of Central China's Henan province.
