Typhoon "Fengshen" is expected to enter the South China Sea today (Tuesday), after slashing through the Philippines. The Guangdong Meteorological Station is forecasting high temperatures in most parts of the province, as a result of downward air currents brought by the typhoon.

The once-strong rain storms in Guangdong Province started to weaken last week. Subtropical high pressure raised temperatures in many cities to over 35 degrees Celsius.

Authorities have issued the first high-temperature warning in Guangdong this year. Hot weather above 37 degrees Celsius is forecast for some regions in the coming days.
