South Korea's top nuclear negotiator says the DPRK is in the final stages of producing a complete declaration of its nuclear programs, part of an aid-for-disarmament deal.

Speaking at a news briefing in Seoul, Kim Sook said he is confident a declaration document will soon be presented by officials of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The DPRK is coordinating with the United States on when it will issue the long-awaited declaration.

The DPRK had promised to complete the document by the end of last year in exchange for its removal from the US terrorism and economic sanctions blacklist. Kim said he expects disarmament talks among the six negotiating parties - the US, China, Japan, Russia, South Korea and the DPRK - to resume this month.
