Iran is warning that it may limit future cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. Iranian officials have expressed disappointment over a recent report from the UN nuclear watchdog that was heavily critical of Tehran.

The IAEA suggested in a report to the UN Security Council last week that Iran was stonewalling investigators and possibly withholding crucial information about the country's nuclear weapons research. But Iran's former top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, elected parliament speaker on Sunday, said that certain aspects of the IAEA report suggest that some countries are trying to mislead the agency.

Tehran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
