37 kids in Haoping village, Gansu Province can finally get back to studying in this makeshift school. Their classroom comes courtesy of soldiers who gave up their living quarters.

Li Jian, Military Officer said "We hope that can help them pull through the trauma and get them back to study."

Though tent schools are being set up one after another, finding teachers can be a problem. So some soldiers with bachelor's and master's degrees are filling in, as well as taking on counseling duties. The kids call them "soldier teachers".

And it's a similar situation in Shigu town, Shifang city for three soldiers from the Navy. The 43 students are also learning the spirit of selflessness from them.

A 10-million-yuan education fund launched by the Sichuan Youth Development Foundation and other organizations will finance some students with their future study. Over 500 students from the Da-le Middle School in Dujiangyan are the first batch of beneficiaries.
