Chengdu Military Area Command has dispatched troops to help with disaster relief work in the earthquake-stricken Wenchuan County.

The State Seismological Bureau will send a team of 180 people to the area for disaster relief. It also said there is no evidence suggesting that an aftershock from Monday's quake in Beijing would occur later in the day.
