CPC officials visit theme exhibition on Tibet

An exhibition entitled "Tibet, the Past and the Present" has opened in Beijing.

The exhibition in the Nationalities Cultural Palace presents a true picture of Tibet over different periods of time, using 160 material exhibits and more than 400 pictures.

Senior Party officials visited the exhibition on Thursday.

Jia Qinglin, the top political advisor, said the exhibition shows the great changes in Tibet in the political, economic, social and cultural fields since its peaceful liberation in 1951 and added that Tibet has entered an excellent period in its history.
