CNN fails to apologize for insulting Chinese people

China's Foreign Ministry has lodged a complaint with CNN's Beijing office.

It condemns the network saying that it's "without any professional reputation".

Cafferty said that Chinese products are "junk" and the people are "basically the same bunch of goons  and thugs they've been for the last 50 years".

Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said the statement issued by CNN on Tuesday failed to apologize for its host Jack Cafferty's remarks made on April 9th.

Cafferty said that Chinese products are "junk" and the people are "basically the same bunch of goons and thugs they've been for the last 50 years".

Liu Jianchao said Cafferty maliciously attacked the Chinese people and seriously violated the professional ethics of journalism.

He says CNN's ulterior motive to target the Chinese government and continue to mislead public opinion will never succeed.
