China's top legislator, Wu Bangguo, has met with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet in Beijing.

China's top legislator, Wu Bangguo, has met with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet in Beijing.

During their talks Wu Bangguo stressed the importance of Sino-Chilean relations saying cooperation and political dialogue have expanded over the years.

Wu Bangguo says the implementation of the China-Chile Free Trade Pact has promoted bilateral ties. He says China is willing to join hands with Chile to improve cooperation in economic, technology, culture and other areas.

Bachelet says Chile will support high-level exchanges and further deepen cooperation in trade, resources, energy, culture and tourism.
