Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jiang Yu has refuted the Dalai Lama's claim for peace and non-violence.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Jiang Yu has refuted the Dalai Lama''s claim for peace and non-violence.

Speaking at Tuesday's press conference, Jiang Yu said the Dalai Lama was the top representative of the Tibetan serf system which integrates politics and religion. She said the Tibetan serf system was one of the darkest slave systems in history, with no democracy, freedom and human rights for common people. Jiang Yu said the "middle way" pursued by the Dalai Lama is just to regain privileges and authority for himself and for slave owners.

Jiang Yu said, "The central government has held a consistent policy towards the Dalai Lama. We have been patient with regards to contacting him. The door to dialogue has been, and is still, open to him. But the problem is that he chooses violence over peace."
