Aba, Xiahe return to normal

Life is returning to normal in Tibetan populated Gannan Prefecture in China's northwest Gansu Province and in Aba County in southwest Sichuan Province.

In Xiahe County in Gannan, shops have reopened a week after rioters smashed businesses and looted and burned houses.

In Aba County, vegetables and meat are back on sale at the market. Local vendors say supplies are returning to normal and prices are stable. Government departments and public services are operating normally, and schools will reopen on Monday.
