China says the country's stance and polices on Tibet issue
have gained international support. Foreign Ministry spokesman
Qin Gang made the remarks during Tuesday's news briefing in
Beijing.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said, "No government around the world recognizes the so-called Tibetan government in exile and Tibet as an independent country. This is the basis, when the international society is dealing with Tibet issue. And the riot in Lhasa has exposed once again the separatist nature of the Dalai Lama clique."

Qin says the Chinese government is capable of maintaining the integrity of the country's territory and security, safeguarding people's lives and property. He says the government will reveal evidence showing the leading role of the Dalai Lama clique in the Lhasa riot at the appropriate time.
