Over the past five years, China's economy has seen drastic growth. Here are some facts and figures.

Over the past five years, China's economy has seen drastic growth.

From 2003-2007, Economy enjoyed a yearly double-digit increase:

GDP of 2007: 24 trillion yuan, 11.4% year on year increase.

Total economy almost doubled, now stands at 4th in the world from the 6th in 2002.

Average annual income per capita $2010.

National fiscal income also doubled to 5 trillion yuan.

The National foreign currency reserve reached 1.53 trillion US dollars, ranking the first in the world.

In 2007, the newly employed reached 12 million, a 40% increase compared with 2003.
