Power suppliers in southern China have taken steps to ensure grids can operate normally under extreme weather conditions. The changes come in response to recent storms that severely damaged much of the region's power and transport links.

Power suppliers will also build backup grids in case of emergency, and improve the stability of current grids.

Power supply in southern China has been gradually recovering after the snow storms. Electricity supply in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was back to normal on Saturday.
