China's disaster relief center says repair operations for the South Grid's trunk network sending electric power from the west to the east of the country has paid off. Vegetable prices in the worst-hit areas have dropped sharply.

The quantity of electricity-generated coal keeps climbing, with enough to last for about 13 days.

Meat, grain and oil prices in snow-hit areas stabilized on Sunday. Vegetable prices dropped sharply. In the central province of Henan, eggplants, tomatoes and cucumbers are now at least ten percent cheaper than the day before.

Repair work to the South Grid's trunk network, sending power from west to east China, has been successful.

On Sunday, power supply was restored to pre-disaster level for nearly half of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The quantity of electricity-generated coal keeps climbing, with enough to last for about 13 days.

Railways and highway traffic across China is back to normal, with no stranded passengers reported.

Students are going back to school, and migrant workers are returning to work. Over 5-million people have travelled by train every day for the last six days. And on Sunday, road traffic flow lessened.

Weather experts are forecasting a rise in temperature for southern China over the next three days. But the southwest is in for overcast skies, rain and snow...heavy snow for some parts challenging re-building efforts.
