Officials from some international organizations have spoken highly of the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

As the first developing nation in Asia to host the event, they said Beijing will showcase the power of mankind and promote unity across the world.

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mohamed ElBaradei, said the Beijing Olympics was a historically significant event which would allow the rest of the world to understand China better, while still enjoying the high standard of competition.
