Chinese in Netherlands donate for disaster victims

As the government is helping to repair damages from the winter storms, many overseas Chinese are also lending a hand.

More than 20 leaders of Chinese organizations in the Netherlands gathered in Amsterdam on Monday. They called on all Chinese there to contribute to their motherland''s relief efforts.

More than 20 leaders of Chinese organizations in the Netherlands gathered in Amsterdam on Monday. They called on all Chinese there to contribute to their motherland's relief efforts. The gathering was the second time for Chinese residing in the Netherlands and the Chinese-Dutch to donate to disaster victims.

Zhou Shouju, chairman of Gen. Fed. for Chinese in Netherlands, said, "Chinese-Dutch and the Chinese nationals in the Netherlands are patriotic. They are keen to donate. We've already collected more than 20,000 euros. I believe we can collect 30,000 to 50,000. And we will call on every Chinese here to donate."
