More rain, snow to hit China

More rain and snows is expected to hit China's most southern areas in the next 10 days. The forecast says that heavy snow will blanket most parts of Hunan, Hubei, Hennan, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces.

Officials from the Central Meteorological Observatory upgraded the storm warning on Sunday. They said most of this week will see the worst of the weather.

Duan Yihong, vice director of Central Meteorological Observatory, said, "The Central Meteorological Observatory has upgraded the storm emergency responding system from grade three to grade two. We update precipitation forecast and real time reports every three hours. According to our forecast, the current precipitation will not end until Tuesday. But more rain and snow is on the way, expected to hit on Thursday and run for three days."
