The US Mint has issued lucky money notes for the Year of the Rat in the Chinese lunar calendar.

One-dollar and two-dollar bills are sealed on red paper with mouse paper cuts. Both are uncirculated limited editions.

Seven years ago, due to the growing influence of Chinese Americans, the US Department of Treasury began its series of lucky money notes.
