Prime Minster Brown criticized a rising trend of trade protectionism.

He emphasized that a mutually-beneficial trade cooperation can help bring long-term prosperity to the people of both countries.

Olympic champion Deng Yaping is now pursuing a Doctorate Degree at Cambridge University in the UK.

She asked the Prime Minister whether he will come to Beijing to watch the upcoming Olympics.

Gordon Brown said, "I will certainly go if I'm invited. The reason I want to come is to learn what I know will be a great success of China, for the successful holding of London Olympics in 2012. "

Premier Wen said, "I'm here to invite Prime Minister Brown to attend the Beijing Olympic Games, on behalf of the Chinese government."

Later, the two leaders went just next door to the gymnasium to watch a table tennis match between players from the two countries.

These young players are the reserved talent for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

And British players are receiving training in China.

Gordon Brown and Wen Jiabao were happy with the performance, and encouraged the young, from both sides, to strengthen exchanges.

On Saturday, Gordon Brown will visit Beijing's Olympic stadium and a low-carbon power station, before hopping over to Shanghai to see plans for an eco-town. All three projects are being helped by Britain, either through design or construction.
