China to issue 1st product recall rule

China's first draft on the recall regulations of defective products will be issued this year.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine says the draft stipulates that production and sales companies should recall products which are confirmed to endanger people's health.

The products covered include autos, tools, food, medicine, household electrical appliances and public facilities like elevators and cable cars.
