Special Report:   Indian PM Visits China

The first anti-terror drill conducted jointly by the armies of China and India has gone into its fourth day in southwest China's Yunnan province.

Despite some limitations in language, Chinese soldiers are quick to learn.

Later, a mixed formation exercise was underway.

Indian snipers launched a mock pre-emptive attack against terrorists from long distance, using a thermo imager.

While covering each other, Chinese and Indian soldiers stormed the terrorists' hiding site.

The exercise was performed successfully.

An Indian soldier said, "Chinese soldiers are of good quality and quickly master the tactics we've taught them. This demonstrates that Chinese soldiers are well-trained."

Chinese commanders also express a high opinion of the Indian army's anti-terror training methods and tactical strategy.

Chinese Military officer Zhou Xiaozhou said, "We were deeply impressed with their tactical formation nearing the target. And their analysis ahead of the likely situation, and their choice of targets."

On Tuesday, the Chinese and Indian soldiers are expected to go through exercises focusing on how to strategically attack camps, pursue fleeing enemies, and rescue hostages.
