"Nanhai One" on way to new home

The ancient Chinese vessel Nanhai One has been lifted off the sea bed. It's now on its way to its new home, the specially-built Crystal Palace in Guangdong Province.

The ancient Chinese vessel Nanhai One has been lifted off the sea bed.

Five ships are escorting the Nanhai One to Yangjiang City. It's scheduled to arrive at the temporary dock on Monday. It will be sent to the Crystal Palace once conditions allow.

The Nanhai One was discovered 20 years ago. The 800-year-old vessel contains thousands of rare and delicate antiques of porcelain, iron, bronze wares, and Song dynasty copper coins.
