Check-up prepares Chang´e 1 for scientific exploration

Niu Hongguang, Vice Gen. Commander of Chang'e 1 Project, said, "This successful brake is a breakthrough for the nation's aerospace industry. It also demonstrates that we have the ability to accurately control an orbiter from 4-hundred thousand kilometers away."

On Tuesday Chang'e One was conducted to brake again and for a third time on Wednesday. The last one pushed the probe into its final orbit.

On November 18th, the probe will relay its first pictures of the Moon back to Earth. And all its equipment will start to work.
