Tibetan culture attracts North Americans

A Tibetan delegation featuring living Buddhas is visiting the Canadian city of Toronto, adding to local interest in Tibetan culture.
Many prominent cultural figures are in the delegation, including well-known medical experts, social scientists, and widely-respected living Buddhas.
On Monday, the group attended a news conference organized by the Chinese embassy. After fielding questions from Chinese and western media, they introduced the development of Tibetan medicine, Tibetan Buddhism and Tibet's economy in recent years.
While in Canada, the delegation will conduct academic exchanges with scholars from universities in Vancouver, Ottawa and Calgary. After Canada, the delegation will visit the United States.
