One of Indonesia's most deadly volcanoes became active Thursday, prompting thousands of mountainside residents to be evacuated. Hundreds of deep volcanic tremors shook Mount Kelud in East Java and its crater lake reached the highest temperature since the mountain was put on high alert last month.
