Chang´e-One´s 1st probing equipment activated

The first probing device on the Chang'e-One lunar orbiter is now in operation. Chinese scientists activated the high-energy solar particle detector on Thursday evening.
The device will collect data on the space expanse between 40,000 and 400,000 kilometers from earth to the moon.
Other probing instruments on the orbiter will also be activated. All 24 devices will be in operation when Chang'e-One enters the 200-kilometer circular moon orbit.
