All high-ranking officials must receive three months to three years of training from this school.
This includes provincial party chiefs, ministers and generals, as well as mid-ranking officials who've just taken up their posts.
The curricula in this institute include not just Marxist classics and Party principles but also Western political theory and economics. And students discuss provocative modern issues of contemporary law, religion, military affairs, science and technology.

As the country opens up to the outside world, so does the Party School: to prominent western politicians like Australian Prime Minister John Howard and former US Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, who have both visited the campus.
Right now the CPC Central Committee's Party School has about 1300 students on campus. Since China initiated its reforms in 1978, the school has trained more than 50,000 medium and high-ranking officials for their diverse and important positions.
